SILVER feat. Christine Ott & Vale Poher

Bonjour !

• Pour bien commencer le printemps je vous invite à écouter une nouvelle version ainsi qu’un remix du titre SILVER ! (disponible maintenant sur Itunes, Bandcamp et la semaine prochaine sur  Deezer , Spotify)

• Cette nouvelle version accueille l’arrangement aux Ondes Martenot de Christine Ott. Cela faisait longtemps que ce son envoutant me trottait  en tête et je suis très content que Christine ait été enthousiaste à l’idée de collaborer sur cette version longue !

• Ce morceau est né en 2010 sous la plume de Vale Poher (auteur et interprète). En voici l’histoire :

“Je travaillais sur un nouveau titre. J’avais la mélodie de chant. Mais toujours pas de texte. Ne trouvant pas les mots, je lisais des articles sur Claude Chabrol disparu alors récemment. C’est ainsi que je suis tombée sur un blog annonçant la mort de Véronique Silver. Actrice de cinéma, un de ses rôles les plus marquants fut Madame Jouve dans La femme d’à côté de François Truffaut. Madame Jouve, personnage inoubliable, sa voix off racontant l’histoire d’amour fou de Mathilde (Fanny Ardant) et Bernard (Gérard Depardieu). Cet amour éternel m’a marquée à tout jamais.

Dans cette nuit d’août 2010, je me suis mis à écrire pour Véronique Silver un titre qui porterait son
nom. « SILVER » est un hommage à cette actrice, à ce personnage inoubliable pour ceux qui ont vu le film, à
mon amour du cinéma. « Ni sans toi, ni avec toi ».

• This new version is based on a new arrangement played by Christine Ott with the instrument called Ondes Martenot . It’s been a long time that i’d like to insert this mesmerizing sound in my music so i was really happy when Christine accepted to play for this extended version !

• The original version, included in my last release FLAKE UP, was born during 2010. Vale Poher (author and performer) tell us this text  story :

“I was working on a new title. The melody was in my head. But no lyrics came up. Searching for the words, I started reading news articles upon the recent death of Claude Chabrol. This is how I stumbled upon a blog announcing the death of Veronique Silver. As a movie actress, one of her greatest role was Madame Jouve in Francois Truffaut’s film,  ” La femme d’à côté”. Madame Jouve, an unforgettable character, her voice-over telling the story of the crazy love relationship between Mathilde (Fanny Ardant) and Bernard (Gerard Depardieu). This eternal love marked me forever.

On that night of August 2010, I began to write for Véronique Silver, a title that would bear her name. “Silver” is a tribute to her, to this memorable character, for those who have seen the movie, and to my love of cinema.”
